Sources, corrections & archive rules
This archive deliberately keeps the source trail visible. Contemporary club records and first-hand knowledge are used to correct retrospective database errors, while external records are retained for comparison.
Primary club source
Robert Brassett is a founder and long-serving administrator of the club. His surviving paperwork, contemporary reports, photographs and first-hand recollections are treated as primary club-history sources, especially for names, organisational changes and missing team sheets.
External sources used
- FA Full-Time — results, tables, player appearances, goals and competition classifications.
- FutsalPlanet historical championship archive — especially the recovered 2007/08 South results and table.
- English Futsal Bulletin — contemporary opening-season coverage and the Baltic v Northaw report.
- Enfield Independent and Welwyn Hatfield Times — contemporary press reports being used to reconstruct 2007/08 appearances and scorers.
- The Football Association archive and contemporary FA material.
Known database naming errors
FutsalPlanet retrospectively calls the 2007/08 side “FC Enfield”, but the club was FS Northaw. FA Full-Time also displays “Enfield & CM Futsal Club” on records outside the genuine merger chronology. The actual merger with CM Futsal occurred in 2017/18.
Statistical rules
League, cup and “other” matches are kept separately at team level. Genuine played cup/other fixtures count toward eventual all-time player appearances and goals. Postponed fixtures and walkovers never create invented appearances or goals. Missing team sheets are marked as club-archive reconstructions. Unresolved duplicate FA records remain unresolved until evidence or club records settle them.
